2. Flexible Points Pricing2
Apply a consistent redemption rate to any booking. This redemption rate pricing works in the same way your HSBC travel redemption pricing worked, where the same rate will apply to any travel booking. Your flexible travel redemption rate is:
100 points = $1.50 CAD3
Redemption rates define how much your points are worth. The higher your redemption rate, the more valuable your points are. For Avion Rewards Travel, redeem at a rate of 1.5% (100 points = $1.50) toward flights, hotels, car rentals, vacation packages, and cruises.
The 1.5% redemption rate is applicable only to eligible Avion credit cards migrated to RBC from another financial institution in 2024.

Note: You received a welcome email from Avion Rewards, which outlines your Avion points balance and how to book travel. If you do not have an email address on file, you will receive this information by mail later in April. The letter will be sent to the address we have on file.

Air Travel Redemption Schedule is only available online and through Avion Rewards app. Air Travel Reward redemptions from the Air Travel Redemption Schedule start at 7,500 Avion points for a one-way, short-haul flight (within or to an adjacent province or territory or within or to an adjacent U.S. state) with a maximum ticket price of $175, excluding any applicable taxes, surcharges and fees. All applicable taxes, surcharges and fees are the responsibility of the traveler, and can be paid with a credit card or by using additional Avion points at a rate of 100 points = $1.50 CAD. When you book your travel through Avion Rewards, you may redeem Avion points at the rate of 100 points per CAD $1.50 to pay for any taxes and service fees (including sales, GST, departure and transportation taxes and fees, airport improvement fees, or other taxes), excess baggage charges, immigration fees, governmental fees and levies, customs charges and passenger facilities charges, health or other inspection fees, fuel surcharges and other non-ticket costs or charges which may be imposed.
