The Red Contest (the “Contest”) begins on May 21, 2024 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time and ends on June 16, 2024 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (the “Contest Period”).
By participating in this Contest, you are signifying your agreement that you have read and agree to be legally bound by these Official Contest Rules (the “Rules”).
The Contest is only open to residents of Canada who have reached the legal age of majority in their province/territory of residence at the time of entry, except employees, representatives or agents (and those with whom such persons are living, whether related or not) of Royal Bank of Canada (the “Sponsor”), its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies and any other individual or entity involved in the development, production, administration, or fulfillment of the Contest (collectively, the “Contest Parties”).

Once you have provided all of the required information and completed all of the foregoing steps to enter (as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion), you will be eligible to receive one (1) entry (an “Entry”).
BONUS ENTRY: If you enter a valid WestJet Rewards ID (to be validated by the Sponsor at its sole and absolute discretion during selection) on the Entry Form, you will be eligible to receive one (1) additional Entry, for a total of two (2) Entries.
ALTERNATE METHOD OF ENTRY: To enter without having to complete the foregoing steps to enter, you must hand-print your first name, last name, email address, telephone number, full mailing address, preferred concert location, nearest province (if residing in Yukon, Nunavut or Northwest Territories) and a sentence describing “Why I want to enter the Contest” on a piece of paper (8.5” x 11”) and mail it to: Rachel Clark 181 Bay St. 11th floor, Toronto, ON M5J 2V1 (a “Mail-in Request”). To be eligible, your Mail-in Request must be postmarked and received during the Contest Period. No mechanical reproductions are permitted and each Mail-in Request must be mailed in a separate envelope bearing sufficient postage (e.g. mass Mail-in Requests in the same envelope will be void). Mail-In Requests become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. If your eligible Mail-in Request is received in accordance with these Rules (as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion), you will be eligible to receive one (1) Entry. If you submit a second Mail-in Request describing (Why I want to get an extra entry to the Contest), you will be eligible to receive one (1) additional Entry, for a total of two (2) Entries.
To be eligible, your Entries must be submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Contest Period.
There is a limit of two (2) Entries per person during the Contest Period. If it is discovered by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor) that any person has attempted to: (i) exceed any of the limits stated in these Rules; and/or (ii) use multiple names, identities, email addresses and/or any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s) to enter or otherwise participate in or to disrupt this Contest; then he/she may be disqualified from the Contest in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. An Entry may be rejected if (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor): (i) the Entry is not submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Contest Period; and/or (ii) the Entry is not otherwise in compliance with these Rules (all as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). The Released Parties (defined below) are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete or incompatible Entries or any other Contest-related information (all of which are void).
All Entries and entrants are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any Entry or any other information submitted (or purportedly submitted) for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (iii) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with these Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor within the timeline specified by the Sponsor may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
PRIZE DESCRIPTION
There will be seven (7) prize packages for a total of fifty (50) prizes (each, a "Prize"). Prize packages are outlined below:

All prize packages admission (and, if applicable, any ticket(s) is subject to the terms and conditions of the event host and of the host venue, which must accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). All prize packages travel is subject to the requirement, tariffs, and terms and conditions of WestJet, which must accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). No substitutions except at the Sponsor’s option. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute any of this prizing or a component thereof with a prize of equal or greater retail value, including, without limitation, but at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, a cash award. All costs not expressly indicated above as forming part of this prizing are the applicable confirmed winner’s sole responsibility; without limiting the generality of the foregoing, entrant is solely responsible for all transportation to and from the departing and arrival airports as well as any meals or other purchases. All characteristics and features of this prizing, except as otherwise explicitly described above, are at the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. The Released Parties (defined below) will be in no way responsible in the event that any part of the event is delayed, cancelled, postponed or rescheduled for any reason whatsoever. Without limiting any of the foregoing, the following additional terms and conditions apply to the prize: (i) the confirmed winner (and his/her guest(s), as applicable) must have all necessary documentation to permit participation in the prize (including without limitation any required government issued identification, valid proof of vaccine or exemption documentation, proof of negative COVID-19 test documentation, and/or any other COVID-19 documentation), failing which he/she may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the prize); (ii) the confirmed winner, and his/her guest(s) as applicable, are solely responsible for any COVID-19 test expenses, COVID-19 quarantine requirements and related expenses, and travel or medial insurance costs (if applicable); (iii) the Released Parties (defined below) are not responsible for any delay, postponement, suspension, rescheduling or cancellation of any aspect of the prize, for any reason (including without limitation, if fulfilment of the prize, or any part thereof, is rendered impossible, infeasible, unsafe or impractical for any reason, including without limitation due to illness or health risks, or any governmental or health authority orders, measures, directives or guidance in response to such illness or risks, such as, without limitation, those that may be implemented to mitigate COVID-19 transmission, or due to any pandemic-related law, regulation, order, policy, guideline, strike, travel restriction, venue policy, restriction, or other cause of any kind or nature whatsoever), and for greater certainty are not obligated to offer any compensation and/or substitute prizing as a result; and (iv) by participating in the prize, the confirmed winner (and each of his/her guest(s) as applicable): (a) signifies that he/she understands, acknowledges and accepts that participation in the prize may involve danger and/or exposure to risks and hazards (including without limitation as may be due to the nature of the prize and as may be due to possible COVID-19 exposure or infection), whether arising from foreseeable or unforeseeable human error and negligence, and that, as a result, he/she may suffer damage to personal property, serious personal injury, illness or even death; (b) signifies that he/she acknowledges and agrees that the Released Parties (defined below) have not made any warranties, guarantees or representations about his/her safety while participating in the prize; and (c) warrants and represents that he/she has evaluated the nature, scope, and extent of the risks involved, and freely and voluntarily agree and assume any and all risks of personal injury, illness, death arising out of or connected with his/her participation in the prize.
There is a limit of one (1) Prize per person.

On June 24, 2024 (the "Selection Date") in Toronto, Ontario at 9:00 AM Eastern Time, fifty (50) eligible entrants will be selected by random draw from among all eligible Entries submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Contest Period and each such selected entrant will be deemed a potential Prize winner.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries submitted and received, per prize package, in accordance with these Rules during the Contest Period.
The Sponsor or its designated representative will make a minimum of one (1) attempt via email to contact each potential Prize winner (using the email information provided at the time of entry) within four (4) business days of the Selection Date. If a potential Prize winner cannot be contacted within 48 hours of the first email notification (the “Email Notification”), or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; then he/she may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to select an alternate potential Prize winner following the same winner selection procedure described above (with the necessary amendments), in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new potential Prize winner.
BEFORE BEING DECLARED A CONFIRMED PRIZE WINNER, each potential Prize winner will be required to: (a) correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other aid (which may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be administered online, by email or other electronic means, by telephone, or in the Sponsor’s form of declaration and release); and (b) sign and return within 48 hours of the date & time stamp of the Email Notification, which (among other things): (i) confirms compliance with these Rules; (ii) acknowledges acceptance of the Prize (as awarded); (iii) releases the Contest Parties and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Prize or any portion thereof; and (iv) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in any manner or medium whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet. If the potential Prize winner: (a) fails to complete and submit the properly executed Release Form within the specified time; (b) cannot accept (or is unwilling to accept) the Prize (as awarded) for any reason; (c) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; and/or (d) is determined to be in violation of these Rules (all as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion); then he/she may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to select an alternate potential Prize winner following the same winner selection procedure described above (with the necessary amendments), in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new potential Prize winner. The Sponsor will have final discretion in selecting the winner in the event of a tie or for any other reason. The Prize winner will receive their prize at the email provided at the time of entry.
All Entries become the property of the Sponsor. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without the right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of Entries and/or entrants. ANYONE DEEMED BY THE SPONSOR TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THESE RULES FOR ANY REASON IS SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION IN THE SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION OF THE SPONSOR AT ANY TIME.
The Released Parties will not be liable for: (i) any failure of any website during the Contest; (ii) any technical malfunction or other problems of any nature whatsoever, including, without limitation, those relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; (iii) the failure of any Entry or other information to be received, captured or recorded for any reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website; (iv) any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer or other device related to or resulting from participating in the Contest; and/or (v) any combination of the above
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, by participating in the Contest, each entrant releases the Released Parties from any and all liability in connection with this Contest and his/her participation therein.
In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an Entry, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require any individual who purports to be the entrant that submitted the Entry in question to provide proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor (as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion) of being the entrant that submitted such Entry. Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor within the timeline specified by the Sponsor may result in disqualification (as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion).
By entering this Contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her Entry only for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy (available at: http://www.rbc.com/privacysecurity/ca/our-privacy-policy.html ).
This section does not limit any other consent(s) that an individual may provide the Sponsor or others in relation to the collection, use and/or disclosure of their personal information.
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these English Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials or website(s), including, but not limited to: an entry form, French version of these Rules, and/or point of sale, television, print or online advertising; the terms and conditions of these English Rules shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by law.
